Elfwood Art Contest: 'Enchanted Harvest'

"Produce a fantasy picture around the theme of summer, harvest, fruits, the enchantment of and giving thanks for Earth's bounty."

Requirements:

•You have to be a publishing artist in Elfwood.

•The artist and artwork has to comply with existing Elfwood rules and be published in the artist's gallery before the contest ends.

•Only one entry per participant.

•The entry has to fall within the the contest theme, pictures not related to the announced theme will not be considered.



Other information:

•Competition closes on 30 September 2009.

•Work will be judged by a panel of Elfwood staff and prominent EW published members on the basis of originality as well as technical skill.

•Prizes will be awarded to the winner and the 2 runners up.

•Feel free to use any visual medium.

Naturally, the submitted image has to fall within the declared theme. Perhaps you should save the image in your link for the time when we do something sports-related (which isn't a bad idea, to be fair).

Although neither of these pictures would quite fit under the 'Enchanted Harvest' title, I've decided to keep them in. This is the first EW art contest in a long time, so it should be more open and inclusive. However, I could feasably predict that pictures that better fit the contest title would be more likely to win.
Needless to say future contests would have more presice criteria.

I’m working on something more sufficient for the contest theme (I thought at first that it was only pieces I’ve got on my gallery, and now I see that we’ve got till the end of September), will it be all right if you’ll cancel mine and I’ll add the new one when I’ll upload it?

Yes, it is. And this goes for any possible entries in this contest, while entries can still be submitted.

This set-up, however, may not carry over into future contests. It's possible we'll do a poll on this.

It is my hope that contests will become a constant feature of Elfwood.

Wait until your picture is approved by a moderator and then post a link. Or, if you are impatient, PM me or post a message here that you have a contest item awaiting approval. We cannot see the picture in the link, in any case.
